Heard Mr.C.Samivel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1, 3 and 4 and Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property, (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) based on the petitioner’s representation dated 29.05.2023 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. The petitioner is the owner of the property (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) pursuant to a sale deed dated 07.11.2019, 2/5

W.P.No.19753 of 2023 executed in her favour by the second respondent. The petitioner seeks for issuance of patta in her favour for the said property. Since her representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4. A counter has been filed by the official respondents. They have also admitted that a sale deed was executed in favour of the petitioner by the second respondent (Tamil Nadu Housing Board).

In view of the same, no prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner’s representation seeking for issuance of patta in her name for the property (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, in the light of the sale deed executed in favour of the petitioner by the second respondent. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation seeking for issuance of patta.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent

to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 29.05.2023 seeking for

issuance of patta in her name for the property (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) in the light of the sale deed dated 07.11.2019, executed in favour of the petitioner by the second respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No
