This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1

and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.032025.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

It is seen that the fifth respondent originally filed a complaint alleging that the marriage certificate relied upon by the petitioner was obtained through impersonation and forgery. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking closure of the complaint lodged by the fifth respondent. Since no action was taken on the said representation, the petitioner filed a writ petition before this Court in

W.P.No.14638 of 2025, seeking a direction to consider her representation. This Court, while dismissing the said writ petition on 23.04.2025, directed the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the complaint lodged by the fifth respondent. Pursuant to the said direction, an enquiry was conducted by the second respondent and a Status Report has also been filed before this Court.

A perusal of the Status Report reveals that the complaint lodged by the fifth respondent alleging impersonation and forgery in the marriage certificate was found to be incorrect. The second respondent Police examined various witnesses, including the father of the fifth respondent, recorded their statements and found that the marriage certificate is genuine and valid.

Be that as it may, since the Status Report reveals that the complaint given by the fifth respondent is false, the petitioner now seeks registration of a First Information Report against the fifth respondent for furnishing false information.

record. However, in view of the same, this Court cannot issue a separate direction to the respondent Police to register an FIR. It is, however, open to the petitioner to initiate appropriate criminal proceedings in accordance with the procedure established by law.
