The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to

direct the respondents to change the classification of the petitioner's land

¶22

comprised in S.No.716/1A, situated at Thondamuthur village, Perur Taluk, Coimbatore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that subsequent to the filing of present writ petition, the 1 st respondent directed the 2 nd respondent to call for records. It is submitted that by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he would confine the prayer in the writ petition only to ensure that petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 is considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

petitioner.

4 . In view of the same, considering the facts and circumstances of

the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested party/rival claimants, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
