This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing

the respondents to disburse 62% of the compensation award amount along with interest based on the representation made by the petitioners on 30.10.2024 and

2.When the writ petition came up for hearing on 03.04.2025, this Court

¶32

directed the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents to take instructions and directed the matter to be listed for hearing today.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional

¶34

Government Pleader produced the written instructions received from the Special

¶35

Tahsildar. It is also seen that a communication dated 06.09.2024 has been

¶36

addressed by the Special District Revenue Officer to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram and a copy has been marked to the Sub Court, Tambaram.

On going through the same, it is clear that some of the land owners numbering 39 sought for a reference and instead of depositing the compensation payable to them in the Court, the entire compensation amount covering all the land owners were deposited before the Sub Court, Tambaram. In view of the same, the compensation deposited for those land owners who had not approached the Court, was sought to be withdrawn from the Court in order to pay the compensation to the respective land owners.
