The allegation against the petitioner is that he joined hands with other accused promised the defacto complainant to get government job and collected a sum of Rs.23,29,300/- from the defacto complainant and thereby cheated him. Hence, the case has been registered.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioners name is mentioned in the FIR, he had no role in collecting money from the defacto complainant. He further submitted that the entire amount collected from the defacto complainant has been handed over to one Sundaramoorthy (A1) in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Per contra, the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) for the respondent reported that they have conducted investigation and it reveals that the petitioner herein was also received more than Rs.10 lakh through Google pay from the said Sundara moorthy. He further submitted that in this regard investigation is also going on. Hence, he oppose to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
