This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trail of Cases under SC/ST(PoA) Act, Vellore to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consequently consider their bail application on merits on the same day in Crime No. 150 of 2025 on the file of the respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the allegations are embellished to include an offence under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 and that the petitioners will surrender before the Trial Court, which shall be directed to take up the case on the same day.

respondents 1 and 2 submits that the offence under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 is categorically made out.

The learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant/third respondent would submit that, in this case, the petitioners smashed the windscreen and completely damaged the Innova car. As per the FIR, the loss to the vehicle amounts to Rs.50,000/-. Even if this Court considers the application of the petitioners, a sum should be directed to be deposited.

Upon such submission, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are willing to deposit any reasonable sum as directed by this Court.
