The petitioner has approached this Court that the order

of this Court in WP(MD) No.17959 of 2024, dated 01.08.2024 has

not been complied with.

¶20

2.The petitioner has filed a writ petition for a Mandamus

¶21

that his complaint, dated 12.07.2024 has not been acted upon by the official respondents. This Court, by its order, dated 01.08.2024 has disposed of that writ petition as under:-

''3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions fromt e respondent police submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the first respondent on 14.07.2024 and the same was forwarded tot he third respondent only on 31.07.2024. Since the third respondent police has received the current papers only on 31.07.2024, he has to conduct preliminary enquiry and after finding out the truth, he would take action.

4.This Court considered the rival submissions made.

5.Since the third respondent claims that the complaint was received by him only on 31.07.2024, he need some more time to find out the truth in the complaint. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of

with a direction to the respondent police to conduct a preliminary enquiry and find out the truth and thereafter, proceed in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order''

3.Now, the petitioner has approached this Court that even after the orders of this Court inWP(MD) No.17959 of 2024, dated 01.08.2024, the respondent police has not taken any steps, in complying with the order of this Court.

4.When this contempt petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent/contemnor submits that both the parties have been enquired based on the complaint, dated 12.07.2024 in CSR No.335 of 2024, wherein they have agreed to resolve their issue amicably, thereby, the complaint was closed. He has also placed the closure report before this Court and it was also furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate that the complaint of the petitioner has already been attended and it was closed that the parties have agreed to resolve their issue amicably, this Contempt Petition is closed.
