The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of

the orders of this Court dated 28.08.2024 made in W.P(MD) No.9350 of 2022, wherein this Court has directed the respondents to retain a sum of Rs.11,00,000/- and release the balance amount to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2. Pursuant to the orders of this Court, the respondents have

released a sum of Rs.5,40,000/- and the balance amount of Rs.3,92,027.23/- is yet to be released.

3. The affidavit has been filed by the Cooperative Society to the effect that due to paucity of funds they may be permitted to release the balance terminal benefits in 15 monthly installments. Paragraph No.9 of the affidavit is extracted as follows:

“ 9. I further humbly submit that the Society has prepared a clear and time-bound action plan for disbursement of the remaining retirement benefit of Rs.3,92,027.23, which is set out below, The remaining amount of Rs.3,92,027.23 will be paid in monthly installments over a period of 15 months. Each installment will be paid on or before the 15 th day of the respective month.
