By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order

of the 2^nd respondent dated 08.08.2024, in and by which, the petitioner's request to pursue the third year course has been rejected.

It is case of the petitioner that he joined B.SC., Game and Designing course in the academic year 2019-20 in the 3^rd respondent college by paying necessary fees. He has completed up to his 4^th semester and due to COVID-19 pandemic, he could not pursue his 5^th and 6^th semesters and could not make the fee also. For the third year/5^th

semester, he was not in a position to pay the fees due to third wave of COVID-19 and join the third year during July 2021. Hence he approached the third respondent in the month of April 2022 permitting him to pay the fees for 5^th and 6^th semesters. However, he was informed that after obtaining necessary permission from the college committee to receive the fees, he will be permitted. However, the petitioner is not permitted to attend the 5^th and 6^th semesters for the academic year 2022-23. The petitioner approached the college to give concession for the college fees. The petitioner was directed to pay 50% fee. Now, the petitioner prays for appropriate direction to admit him in the college and pursue his course.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the University Grants Commission has permitted extension for a further period of one year to complete the course. However, since the said period is over, the petitioner prays for necessary direction.

The learned counsel for the 2^nd respondent wold submit that if a proposal is sent by the third respondent, they will positively consider and

permit the petitioner to write the remaining semesters.

As the University is now willing to consider the case of the petitioner positively, the third respondent is directed to send a proposal in this regard within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such proposal being sent by the respondents 1 and 2, the third respond shall grant permission for the petitioner to complete the remaining semesters for the academic year 2024-25.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
