The above writ petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction the pension to the petitioner from the date of death of his petitioner.

The impediment to the grant of the pension is only on account of the fact that the other son of Kuppusamy, who has been listed at serial No.102 as the descendant of Karuppayee Athai, has not been produced before the authority.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's brother, Rajendran, is not in a position to travel as he is unwell. Therefore, the third respondent shall depute an Official to go over to the residence of the said Rajendran, enquire him and obtain a No objection certificate and thereafter process the petitioner's request. The entire exercise shall be completed within a month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
