This Court, vide order dated 23.01.2024, disposed of the writ petition

¶29

directing the petitioner to file an application before the committee constituted under the Government Order bearing G.O.Ms.No.64, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing, dated 08.02.2022.

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that S.No.413/1 is classified as graveyard and S.No.415/8 is recorded as 'vaikkal' in the revenue records; and S.No.549/9 is a patta land standing in the name of one Mr.Mahalingapuram S.Subramanian.

It is proposed to survey S.No.415/8 on 12.08.2024 and based on survey report, action would be taken to remove the encroachments.

We make it clear that if any encroachment is found, the respondent authorities shall take necessary action to remove such encroachments without any delay. The contempt petition stands closed.
