PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent herein to consider petitioner representation dated 19.09.2022 within a time limit fixed by this Court in accordance with Law.

Heard Mr.Adarsh Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel for the official respondents i.e. officials of TANGEDCO/R1 to R4.
2.In light of the nature of the order that is proposed to be passed, no notice is necessary at this juncture to the private respondent arrayed as R5.
3.The prayer of the petitioner is based on a representation dated 19.09.2022. The prayer therein is for disconnection of electricity connection to a property situated at Chennai District, Alandur Taluk, Madananthapuram Village, Santhosh Nagar Extension (property in question) and it is the allegation of the petitioner that R5 is squatting on the aforesaid property to which the petitioner claims to hold title.
4.Seeing as the prayer is in itself limited, and only seeks a direction to R1 to consider and dispose his representation within a time limit fixed by this Court
and seeing as the parties are stated to be already in discussion qua the

representation as aforesaid, it would suffice that a direction be issued to R1 to conclude the hearing on the representation, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as R5 and pass orders within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order in accordance with applicable regulations and in accordance with law, and I do so.
