This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme of Adal Padal on 29.04.2023 to 03.05.2023 at 06.00 PM to 11.00 PM at "Sri Prasanna Nanjundeshwar Temple Car Festival" Edappadi, Edappadi Post, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District by consider and pass orders on the representation dated 22.04.2023 made by the petitioner within the time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme.
