The present miscellaneous petition is filed seeking appointment of Mr.S.Kasikumar, the Assisting Receiver, to act as an Interim Receiver, for administering the theatre companies and to look after the general administration, by according him signatory powers in bank transactions, necessary deeds, licenses, etc. in order to enable smooth functioning of the theatres and kalyana mandapam, till such time a full time Receiver is appointed.

This application has been necessitated as a result of the demise of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Swamidurai, who was appointed as Receiver and has been discharging his functions till his demise.

It is also stated that in order to ensure that there is smooth functioning of the day to day administration of the theatres and Kalyana Mandapam, cheques have to be issued and payments have to be made to statutory authorities and if these payments are not made,

it will result in unnecessary further complications. Therefore, the present application has been taken out, seeking appointment of Mr.S.Kasikumar, who is already functioning as Assisting Receiver for

the past ten years as he is well-versed with all the day to day administration of the theatres and kalyana mandapam.

4. The application is not seriously opposed.

We are also satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit,

filed in support of this application. The appointment of Interim Receiver has become necessary in view of the demise of the Receiver appointed by this Court namely Hon'ble Justice Mr.K.Swamidurai. It is also needless to state that till such time, a full time Recevier is appointed by this Court, the day to day affairs and adminstration of the theatres and kalyana mandapam cannot come to a grinding halt.

In such view of the matter, we appoint Mr.S.Kasikumar, the present Assisting Reciever to act as Interim Receiver and permit him to adminster the theatre companies and also the kalyana mandapam, till such time a full time receiver is appointed by this Hon'ble Court.
