Mr.J.Michael Visuvasam, learned counsel for the appellant. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT
Both the parties voluntarily have come to the settlement before the Lok Adalat as follows :
(i) As against the award amount of Rs.29,95,722/- with further interest, at 7.5% per annum, the parties have agreed to settle for a total sum of Rs.35,00,000/- as full quit;
(ii) After deducting the amount, if any, already deposited, the balance sum will be deposited within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;
(iii) Upon such deposit, the claimants are entitled to withdraw the entire sum without any formal application and only upon verification of the identity. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
