earmarked lands comprised in Survey Nos.377/108 and 377/111, admeasuring in toto 0.95.0 hectares and located at Pudukkottai North Village, Pudukkottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District to the shortlisted eligible 66 Ex-servicemen and their dependants as per the priority list.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that seeking the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner to issue free house site pattas in Survey Nos.377/108 and 377/111 at Pudukkottai North Village, Pudukkottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, the petitioner Association made various representations, but, there was no response. Hence, this Writ Petition is filed.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced the proceedings of the District Collector, Pudukkottai, dated 16.05.2022, whereby the claim of the petitioner seeking patta has been rejected. The operative portion of the said order reads as follows:-

However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that no such rejection order has been served on the petitioner Association till date, for which, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents replied that the said order passed by the District Collector will be served on the petitioner within a period of three weeks.

Recording the same, this Writ Petition stands disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for appropriate remedy. No costs.
