ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent herein to confer third rank upon the petitioner’s daughter in Tuticorin District in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted in March 2012, on the basis of the marks awarded to her in the re-totaling.
1168 marks in the Higher Secondary Examination. She applied for re-totaling and she was awarded with 1174 marks. According to the petitioner, the District third rank holder in Tuticorin District had secured 1173 marks only. Hence, the re-totaling marks of the writ petitioner’s daughter should be taken into account and the petitioner’s daughter
