Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the revision petition in Ref.D6/15612/2020 filed by the petitioner expeditiously on merit and in accordance with law and consequently forbearing second respondent herein from in any manner encumbering the petitioner's patta land comprised in Survey No.500/9 measuring 1.27.0 Hecs. situated in Ilayarasanendal Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Tuticorin District, till the disposal of the revision petition in Ref.D615612/2020 filed by the petitioner.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that already enquiry notice has been issued to the parties and within a reasonable time, enquiry would be completed by the first respondent.

2.At this, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would request this Court to direct the first respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders within a time stipulated by this Court.

3.In view of the above submissions of the learned Counsels, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:

The first respondent, before whom the revision petition is pending at the instance of the petitioner, is directed to complete the process of enquiry undertaken by him within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law.
