chitta and patta of the lands, the petitioner has pledged his jewels for a sum of Rs.54,000/- and the time for redemption of jewels was lapsed on 29.05.2019. Even prior to the lapse of time, the petitioner has approached the respondent Bank and expressed his willingness to make the payments to redeem the jewels, but the same was not accepted by the respondent. Subsequently after the lapse of time, the respondent Bank have sent the final notice dated 29.05.2019, calling upon him to make payment within a period of 7 days from the date of receipt of the notice, failing which the said jewels will be brought into auction. Even thereafter, he expressed his willingness for the payment of the entire due amounts with interest and requested to return the jewels. But the respondent Bank refused to receive the money and to return the jewels on the ground that there is a default of agricultural loan for a sum of Rs.85,000/-. Therefore, the petitioner has caused a legal notice dated 28.06.2019 calling upon the respondent Bank to return the jewels on payment of the amount due and he also made a request to the respondent Bank atleast to renew the loan account on payment of interest. However, the same was also not accepted by the respondent Bank. Aggrieved by non returning of the petitioner's jewel, he is constrained to approach this Court by filing this petition.
