Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the first respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.10287/2015/M1, dated 06.05.2015 and quash the same and consequently directing the first respondent to issue necessary permission to the petitioner for conducting cricket tournaments in Government Boys Higher Secondary School Play Ground, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District for four days from 24.05.2015 to 27.05.2015.

The order dated 06.05.2015 passed by the first respondent-District Collector, Namakkal, rejecting the application submitted by the petitioner for conducting Cricket Tournaments in Tiruchengode Government Boys Higher Secondary School play ground from 24.05.2015 to 31.05.2015, is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. In view of the fact that the application filed, seeking permission from the first respondent-District Collector, Namakkal was rejected in the year 2015 and the application filed by the petitioner was relating to the period of the year 2015. Thus, the relief, as such, sought for in the present writ petition lost its relevance and therefore, no further adjudication is required. However, if any grievance exists as of now, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Competent Authority.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
