Seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 herein to secure and produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, Farin Fathima Beeve, aged 23 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter - Farin Fathima Beeve, aged about 23 years, had gone missing since 11.10.2020 and that the police have not taken any effective steps to secure her.

3.Today, Mr.Sonairajan, Sub-Inspector of Police, (Law and Order), T-6, Police Station, is present.

On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a regular case in Crime No.1256 of 2020 for woman missing has been registered and the investigation is pending.

This Court directs the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Avadi to monitor the investigation in Avadi P.S. Crime No. 1256 of 2020 and take effective steps to secure the detenue and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. If the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate II, Poonamallee, under intimation to the petitioner.

Recording the same, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
