This Criminal Revision Case is filed as against the order dated 09.12.2015 passed in Cr.M.P.No.1122 of 2015 in C.C.No.2 of 2014 by the learned Special Judge, Special Court for trial of cases under the TNPID Act 1997, Madurai.

The petitioner is arrayed as Accused No.3 in C.C.No.2 of 2014. According to the petitioner, he is the father of the main accused/A2 and he has been unnecessarily roped in this case without any documents. Further, he has not involved in the day-to-day affairs of the Company and no prima facie case is made out against him.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that there are witnesses to speak about the role of this petitioner in the commission of offence and he is also one of the persons, who actively participated in the day-to-day affairs of the Company. Moreover, the trial is almost completed. Out of 20 witnesses, 19 witnesses have been examined so far and the Investigation Officer alone has to be examined.

In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it fit to dismiss this revision case with a direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, the Criminal Revision Case is dismissed. However, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.2 of 2014 and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible. The petitioner is at liberty to raise the grounds before the trial Court, which are raised before this Court. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
