“With reference to the above, it is informed that the W.P.No.37658 of 2007 filed before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras by the SE/TNEB/Chengalpattu against the order dated 13.11.2006 passed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Ombudsman No.11 of 2006 regarding the levy
of BPSC on Electricity Tax at 18% per annum may be withdrawn, since a similar case was disposed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, order dated 01.03.2016 in Special Leave Petition (Civil) C.C.No.367 of 2014. Hence, it is requested to submit the above facts to the Hon'ble High Court of Madras and prayed for withdrawal”
