Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein and their subordinates to effect Metro Water and Sewerage connections to the Petitioners' residential Flats bearing No.126/1, 'D' Block, Anna Nagar East, Chennai 600 102, on payment of requisite fees and charges alone, but without insisting on production of a completion certificate or No Objection Certificate from Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority or the Corporation of Chennai within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.
Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the bundle.
2.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also in view of the endorsement made, this writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
