Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Declaration, declaring that Rule 5 (7) of the Tamil Nadu Kerosene (Regulation of Trade) Order, 1973, is illegal insofar as the petitioner is concerned and quash the order of the 1st respondent made in Na.Ka.No.O4/49657/04, dated 28.03.2005 and that of the 2nd respondent made in Na.Ka.No.K2/70996/04, dated 01.01.2005, and consequently issue a mandamus directing the respondents to renew registration certificate No.56/VLR in the name of the petitioner by continuing the supply of kerosene as hitherto done.
