This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for transfer of investigation of the FIR, which is pending on the file of the 5 th respondent in Crime NO.04 of 2018.
2.When the matter came up for hearing during the last occasion, this Court directed the Additional Public Prosecutor to take instructions and also direct the 5 th respondent to file a status report. Today, a status report has been filed by the 5 th respondent. The status report reveals that the police have already completed the investigation and the same is pending for obtaining legal opinion from the Deputy Director of Prosecution, Kancheepuram. The Status report also reveals the fact that all the relevant witnesses have been examined in this case. Therefore, there is no scope for any transfer of investigation at this Stage.
3.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a
direction the 5 th respondent to file a final report within a
period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this
order.
