- O.P. No. 793 of 2005 had been filed under the provisions of
the Guardians and Wards Act, seeking to appoint the petitioner therein namely M.Mathivanan as the natural guardian of M.Kokila. When the Original petition was filed, it had been mentioned that M.Kokila was born on 27.02.1995. She was a minor. Now she has attained the age of majority. She had independence to deal with and decide for herself.
- Consequently three applications has been filed. Application
No.7696 of 2017 is to declare her as major and Application No. 7697 of 2017 is to direct Canara Bank, Velacherry Branch, Chennai – 600 042, to refund the principal amount payable under the Fixed Deposit, which is described in the schedule and similarly Application No.7698 of 2017 is to discharge the Application/Petitioner as guardian of the erstwhile minor M.Kokila.
