PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue family card to the petitioner based on his application dated 25.07.2015 within a time frame.

O R D E R By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to issue family card to the petitioner based on his application dated 25.07.2015 within a time frame.

According to the petitioner, he is an agricultural coolie and his family is dependent of the subsidized items supplied by the Government through ration shops. His mother holds the family card No.09/G/0374160 and all the items such as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ free rice and other subsidized food items availed under the same family card. Subsequently after the petitioner's

marriage his name was removed from the mother's family card and the name of the wife was also removed from her father's family card. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 25.07.2015 before the third respondent. But till date, the respondents have not taken any steps to issue new family card to the petitioner and his family.

The learned Additional Government Pleader who represents the respondents submitted after getting instructions from the officer, who is present before this Court that the third respondent will issue family card to the petitioner within a period of one week.

Recording the submissions so made by the learned Additional Government Pleader and the officer who is present before this Court, this writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
