Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant 25 days parole to the petitioner's son, viz., Sankar @ Jaisankar, S/o Mani, who is undergoing sentence as a life convict in Central Prison, Kalapet, Puducherry, for the purpose of his marriage in pursuance of the Pondicherry Suspension of Sentence Rules 1987 and Pondicherry Prison Rules, 1969.
It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner has been granted parole by the Government, and hence, he seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle today.
