This contempt petition arises out of an interim order of stay granted by me, while entertaining a challenge to a

show cause notice. It appears that in violation of the interim order, the Assessing Officer passed an order of assessment.
- However, it is seen that the main writ petition
itself has now been dismissed. The matter appears to have been taken by the petitioner to the Supreme Court. Therefore, despite the fact that the assessment order has been passed during the pendency of the stay order, I do not wish to entertain this contempt petition, in view of the dismissal of the writ petition. Hence, this contempt petition is closed. kpl
