Prayer: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to receive and register the sale deed dated 10.07.2014 and subsequent sale deeds for the property detailed above bearing Paimash Nos. 350, 351, 355, S.No. 207/14A part, T.S. Nos. 93 and 148, 150 & Block No. 28 of Koyambedu Village, Jawaharlal Nehru Road (100 Feet Road), Thirumangalam, Chennai – 40, presented by the petitioner for registration and complete the registration formalities in accordance with law.

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to receive the sale deed document presented by him for registration.

Heard Mr.N.R. Anantha Ramakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R. Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

So long as there is no court order prohibiting the respondent from registering any sale deed and so long as there is any attachment or directions of the Government or any prohibition in law preventing the respondent from registering the document, the respondent cannot refuse to register on the ground that some individuals are opposing the registration.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to receive the sale deed, register it and complete the formalities, if there are no court orders of injunction or any kind of prohibition. No costs.
