The petitioner presented a sale deed dated 21.2.2011 for registration. It was registered and the document returned to the petitioner. Thereafter, the Sub-Registrar sent a communication under Section 47-A(3) to the Special Deputy Collector (Stamps). The petitioner also submitted his reply. No orders have been passed so far, forcing the petitioner to come up with the above writ petition.

Heard Mr.S.M.Subramaniam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

In view of the fact that the document has already been registered and returned and also in view of the fact that action is pending under Section 47-A(3), the writ petition is disposed

of, directing the first respondent to conduct an enquiry into the matter and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, to pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the above MP is closed.
