PRAYER: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam to expedite the committal proceedings in P.R.C.No.19 of 2013 on its file within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

2.This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam to expedite the committal proceedings in P.R.C.No.19 of 2013 within a stipulated time frame.

3.A report has been received from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam. According to the report, NBW is pending against A2. Hence, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam, is hereby directed to take appropriate steps, directing the respondent Police to execute the warrant and the respondent Police, who is present before this Court, is also directed to execute the warrant, pending against A2 and on execution of the warrant, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam, is directed to complete the committal proceedings and expedite the trial and dispose of the case in P.R.C.No.19 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible. The Criminal Original petition is disposed of accordingly.
