This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, praying to expedite the disposal of the case pending before the learned Juvenile Justice Board Pudukkotai in JC.No.23/2013.

2.As per the direction of this Court, dated, 14.03.2014, a report is received from the learned Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai.

3.In her report, the learned Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai has specifically stated that since the Police has not produced the witnesses, the case is pending.

4.Hence, the learned Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai is directed to issue suitable direction to the Police Officer to produce the witnesses without fail. If the Police Officer is failed to produce any witness within a specified period, the learned Magistrate is directed to go through the acquittal judgment rendered in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ the connected Crl.A.Nos.36 and 47 of 2012. A copy of the same shall be produced by the learned counsel, who is appearing before this Court. It

is reminded to the Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai that it is not mandatory to conduct an elaborate trial and the Act contemplates only an enquiry. If the prosecution fails to produce any witness, the Magistrate is at liberty to follow any procedure to complete such enquiry or even rely upon the judgment of the other Courts and examine the Investigating Officer and pass suitable orders.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of . The learned Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board, Pudukkottai is directed to expedite the enquiry and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy

of this order and furnish a report to this Court.
