ORDER : The Court Made the following order :-

The petitioner is the sole accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.03.2014 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w.20(b) (2)(C) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.33 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was arrested on 09.03.2014 and he is in judicial custody for more than 180 days, but the respondent has not filed the charge-sheet in this case so far. As per Section 36(A)(4) of NDPS Act, the petitioner is entitled for statutory bail.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) conceded the fact that the respondent has not filed the charge sheet in this case.

4.Considering the above said facts, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Special District Sessions Court for NDPS Act Cases, Madurai and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily twice at 10.00 a.m., and 05.00 p.m., until further orders.
