sent a letter in Rc.No.682/A3/2011 dated 20.07.2011 to the Directorate of Teachers Education, Research and Training, Chennai and in response to the above, in proceedings in Rc.No.008913/E2/2011 dated 01.08.2011, the Directior, Directorate of Teacher Education, Research and Training, Chennai, the first respondent herein, has instructed the Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Ramanathapuram District, the third respondent herein and the Principal, SBGSM Teacher Training Institute, Ramanathapuram, the fourth respondent herein to furnish the details of the vacancies in the second year Diploma in Teacher Education Course, in the academic year 2011-12. Accordingly, a report dated 08.08.2011 has been sent by the Correspondent of the fourth respondent Institute to the Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Ramanthapuram District, the third respondent herein, stating that in the second year diploma course, there are 12 vacancies for the academic year, 2011-12, and requested the third respondent to recommend the case of the petitioner so as to enable her to re-do her second year course. In such circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court for a mandamus directing the respondents to permit to her to redo, the second year diploma in teacher education course.
