The petitioner-Company states that they executed an agreement on 21.04.2014 undertaking restoration works due to laying of pipelines along Paravur-Cherai Road between Ch.0/000 to 2/400 (GIDA Work). The petitioner completed the entire contract work and even extra works as demanded. The 4^th respondent forwarded Ext.P10 letter dated 14/20.07.2017 to the 2^nd respondent seeking approval of the revised estimate. The petitioner also submitted Ext.P13 representation dated 10.09.2017.

The petitioner states that during the course of the execution of work, various additional works were necessitated for meaningful utilization of the work awarded. This compelled the 4^th respondent to forward the details of additional works for approval of the 2^nd respondent. In view of the said recommendation, the estimate will have to be revised. In the

writ petition, the petitioner sought to command the 2^nd respondent to issue approval for the revised estimate duly forwarded by the 4^th respondent.

When this writ petition came up for hearing today,

the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has forwarded Ext.P14 representation dated 14.08.2021 to the 2^nd respondent-Superintending Engineer, requesting approval of the revised estimate. The writ petition can be disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to take a decision in the matter within a time frame.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to consider Ext.P14 representation submitted by the petitioner and to take a decision thereon, within a period of six weeks, taking into consideration Ext.P10 also.
