The petitioner has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking writ of mandamus restraining respondents 1 to 3 from nominating the 4th respondent Sri.P.C.Narayanan Namboothiripad as Thantri of Guruvayur Temple. The petitioner has also sought for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate steps to assess the capacity and knowledge of the person to be nominated as Thantri of Guruvayur Temple.
learned Government Pleader took notice for respondents 1 and 3. Learned Standing Counsel for Guruvayur Devaswom Managing Committee took notice for the 2nd respondent. Urgent notice was ordered to the 4th respondent. This Court recorded the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for Guruvayur Devaswom Managing Committee that 4th respondent has already taken oath on last Saturday.

along with the connected matter, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the reliefs sought for in this writ petition have become infructuous and therefore the same may be dismissed as infructuous.
