The appellant filed O.P.No.1549 of 2013 before the Family Court, Ernakulam, seeking a decree of nullity of his marriage solemnized with the respondent on 12.04.2012 at Pavakkulam Mahadeva Temple, Kaloor or in alternative a decree of divorce on the ground of cruelty. By the judgment dated 10.07.2019, the Family Court dismissed that original petition. Challenging the judgment and decree of the Family Court dated 10.07.2019, the appellant has filed this appeal, invoking the provisions under Section 19 of the Family Court.

O.P.No.1549 of 2019 filed by the appellant seeking decree of nullity of marriage or in the alternative a decree of divorce from the respondent herein. The Family Court dismissed the original petition on the ground that the petitioner has miserably failed to prove that the respondent subjected him to cruelty and further directed to communicate a copy of the judgment to Directorate of Health Services for initiating disciplinary proceedings.
