The petitioner is a person with 45% locomotor disability and is making a living by selling lotteries. The petitioner has made a request to the Block Panchayat to provide him with a three wheeler motor vehicle by including it under the project for the financial year 2022-2023. The ICDS Supervisor has also recommended the inclusion of the petitioner's request in the project fund for providing aid to the disabled. The petitioner's grievance is about the delay on the part of the Block Panchayat in supplying the three wheeler, in spite of the recommendation.

I heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader and the learned Counsel for the

Grama Panchayat.

The learned Government Pleader submitted that this year's project fund is exhausted and the petitioner's request

can only be considered in the next financial year.

Learned Standing Counsel for the Panchayat

submitted that the Panchayat has recommended to include the petitioner's name for grant of support by the Block Panchayat.

In the light of Ext.P7 the recommendation of the ICDS Supervisor, all efforts are to be taken to include the petitioner's name in the next year's project and provide him with the three wheeler.

The writ petition is hence disposed of, directing the 1^st respondent to issue appropriate direction to the Thalikulam Block Panchayat to include the petitioner's name for sanction and supply of three wheeler by including it in the project for physically disabled for the financial year 2023-2024.
