JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who is doing paddy cultivation in the property having an extent of 1 Acre 35 cents in Survey No.33/4 of Block No.42 of Perumatti Village in Chittur Taluk of Palakkad District, covered by Ext.P1 Sale Deed No.698/1983 dated 26.03.1983, has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate, effective and meaningful police protection to carry out site visit in the said property and to demarcate the boundaries by the Village Officer, Vandithavalam, without any hindrance from respondents 4 to 8. The petitioner has also sought for a writ of mandamus commanding respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate, effective and meaningful police protection to the petitioner to cut the trees within his property without any hindrance from respondents 4 to 8; a declaration that respondents 4 to 8 have no right or authority to obstruct the demarcation process by the Village Officer in his property; and a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action on Ext.P2 complaint and ensure law and order in the locality.
