The petitioners, who are senior citizens, have

filed Ext.P1 appeal before the District Magistrate under

Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, challenging the order passed by the Maintenance Tribunal. The relief sought for

before the Tribunal was to cancel the gift deed executed in favour of the second respondent who is their son.

Without expressing anything on the merits, the

writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to hear and dispose of the appeal, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a

period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy
