This transfer petition was filed by wife, who is the respondent in O.P.(Divorce) No.213/2018, now pending before Family Court, Muvattupuzha, seeking the same to be transferred to Family Court, Ernakulam.

I heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent herein, the husband.

The contention raised by the petitioner is that, since she has a small child to take care of and her father being a cardiac patient, she finds it difficult to travel from her place of residence in Kothamangalam to the Family Court at Muvattupuzha.

The learned counsel for the respondent did not raise serious objection to the plea for transfer. It is further submitted by both sides that matter is settled also and the parties propose to file a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent.

In the circumstances, the request for transfer is only to be granted.

In the result, transfer petition is allowed withdrawing O.P.(Divorce) No.213/2018 from the file of Family Court, Muvattupuzha and made over to the Family Court, Ernakulam. The Family Court, Muvattupuzha will send up all the records immediately to Family Court, Ernakulam which shall issue notice to parties to appear before the transferee court within a reasonable period of time.
