ORDER

The captioned DBP was filed based on CDB Report No.64/2019 in Complaint No.24/2019. It pertains to procurement of flowers to make garlands in Poonkunnam Siva Temple, Thrissur. During the course of hearing in the above matter it was brought to the notice of this Court that in various temples under the Cochin Devaswom Board (CDB), in respect of the aforesaid subject, different practices are being followed. Now, along with the additional statement filed on behalf of the Secretary, CDB dated 7.4.2021, AnnexureR1(c) has been produced. It is an order bearing No.M4.2629/2018 dated 29.3.2021. It would reveal that to have uniformity on the aforesaid subject of making garlands the said order has been issued and, according to us, if it is implemented it will do away with the different practices being followed in different temples and will achieve uniformity in the aforesaid matter. In the said circumstances, the factum of issuance of the order dated 29.3.2021 is noted and the CDB is directed to implement the order in respect of all temples under it with a view to achieve uniformity in the matter. This DBP stands disposed of with the said direction.
