This Writ Petition is filed for a direction to release the gold

ornaments pledged by the petitioners under gold loan on repayment of the entire loan amount. Even though a statement was filed stating that a crime is pending against the petitioners regarding pledging of spurious gold, it is stated that the crime has already been quashed and the issue relating to spurious gold is settled. The remaining thing is regarding the releasing of gold ornaments pledged by the petitioners.

The learned Standing Counsel submitted that as soon as the petitioners make the payment towards the loan availed, gold would be released.

Therefore, as and when each of the accounts by

which loan is availed is closed by payment, gold shall be released to petitioners.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
