The issue canvassed in this writ petition is
regarding the right, if any, of the petitioners for conversion of the entry in the Basic Tax Register as 'paddy land' into 'dry land (purayidam)'. In the wake of the amendment brought out to the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wet Land Act, 2008, the petitioners have to seek their remedies in accordance with the amended provisions.
Reserving the aforesaid right of the petitioners, the writ petition is closed.
