The petitioner in the instant case has sought writ in

the nature of mandamus directing the 2^nd respondent to appoint her as attender in view of the second position in the rank list, in respect of selection process initiated in 2017 and finalized on 01.01.2018. On the basis of the rank list, the 2^nd respondent has decided to appoint the first candidate as the attender and she also joined the post, however, she resigned from the post in the month of August, 2018.

The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the rank list is valid for one year but the respondent did not take action which impelled the petitioner to approach this Court.

Today when the case is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the Co-operative Society-the 2^nd respondent handed over an order dated 01.07.2020

whereby the grievance of the petitioner has been
