JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who is stated to be the owner of a property having an extent of 4.25 ares comprised in Sy.No.147/14 of Mararikulam North Village in Cherthala Taluk, has filed this writ petition under article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking an appropriate writ declaring that the property in question is purayidam and not nilam as described in the Basic Tax Register. The petitioner has also sought for an order directing the 2nd respondent Tahsildar to rectify the mistake in the description of the property, on the basis of Exts.P1, P2 and P3, as envisaged in Section 13 of the Kerala Land Tax Act, 1961.
