The petitioner has filed this writ petition pointing out that the OMR sheet in respect of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), in which he appeared on 13.09.2020, mismatches the answers marked by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, he had crosschecked the OMR sheet as and when it was made available in the website and he understood that the answer part of the OMR sheet is not the one which is answered by him, though the name, roll number and signature in the sheet are of the petitioner. Petitioner says that the disparity was brought to the notice of the respondent. But the respondent issued a reply, without examining the answers of the petitioner. Producing Exts.P5 and P6 press release, the petitioner alleged that malpractices were committed in the examination.

A1, it is pointed out that, signature of the petitioner is available which is in tune with the signature of the petitioner in the Annexure - A2 attendance sheet. Pointing out the Calculation Sheet Annexure A3, it is stated that even though the petitioner had attempted 179 questions, only 82 were correct and he scored 231 marks. It is also pointed out that the allegations raised by the petitioner are absolutely baseless. It is stated that there are four layers of checks to verify the identity of the OMR sheet and therefore, there is no likelihood of any mismatching. It is further stated that the OMR sheets of the candidates are sent from the Exam Centres to NTA Secrecy Office in a sealed cover and is opened in the presence of the Chief Secrecy Officer. Producing Annexure - A5 press release dated 20.10.2020, it is stated that NTA declared the results after thorough scrutiny and the results were declared accordingly, with due publicity. It is also stated that a case has been filed by the NTA with the Cyber Security Cell under the IT Act at Noida against the fabricated news shown in some of the news channels and the candidates from all over the country are approaching the NTA on the basis of the fake news as contained in Ext.P5.

The respondent has also stated that in W.P.(C)No.22815 of 2020, where similar allegations were raised was already dismissed by this Court.
Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed.
