JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein states that he is in absolute possession and enjoyment of property having an extent of 1.22 Ares comprised in ReSy.No.405/47-2, 47/3 and 48/2 of Angamaly Village. The aforesaid property was acquired on the strength of Ext.P1 title deed. He states that he had filed an application seeking to effect transfer of registry in his name so as to enable him to pay land tax. However, his grievance is that no action has been taken by the respondents. It is in the afore circumstances that the petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to effect mutation of the property covered under Ext.P1 in the name of the petitioner and for a further direction to issue revenue certificates.

The learned Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the request of the petitioner for effecting mutation of property covered under Exhibit-P1 was objected to by several persons. In the said circumstances, the Tahsildar issued notice to the petitioner as well as the objectors and they were ordered to appear on 12.11.2020 for a personal hearing. The petitioner failed to appear and in such circumstances, the matter now stands posted to 22.12.2020. It is

submitted that if the petitioner appears and produces his title deed and other documents, the 1st respondent shall consider his request and take appropriate action.

In view of the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear before the 1st respondent on 22.12.2020 as ordered. The said respondent shall consider the documents presented by him and take appropriate action in accordance with law. The entire proceedings shall be finalized within a period of one month from today.
